The organisers behind WrapFest, the inaugural event for the vinyl wrapping industry, have announced a selection of exciting and engaging competitions set to take place onsite at the prestigious Silverstone racing circuit from 26-27 April 2023. Aimed at visitors of all abilities, the ‘Show and Shine’ and ‘Wrap Warrior Battle’ competitions invite visitors to test and show off their vinyl wrapping skills and share knowledge with other professionals in the vinyl wrapping, paint protection and car customisation industries.

Show off your wrapping portfolio
As part of the Show and Shine competition, visitors are encouraged to bring along their customised wrapped vehicles to be judged by the event’s attendees, and the World Wrap Masters judges on creativity, overall look and technique used. Already almost fully booked, the competition seeks to connect the global wrapping community to share previous designs and discuss skills and techniques used to achieve an expert level of car customisation.

There will be two categories overall; the Judges Choice Award which will be judged by a selection of professionals from the World Wrap Masters judging panel, car and vinyl wrapping influencers will take into account design and application, as well the People’s Choice Award. This will allow visitors to cast their vote for the best looking wrap, with the winners receiving trophies to commemorate their wraps.

The Show and Shine competition will take place on each day of the show in the ‘WrapFest Festival Forecourt’, allowing visitors to view the latest car customisation trends and high-quality vinyl applications for themselves.

Battle it out at Wrap Warrior
Hosted by WrapFest Training Partner, The Wrap Institute, Wrap Warrior Battle is a fun and engaging competition offering visitors of all wrapping abilities the chance to have a go at three contests: Bing Bing Plate testing dexterity, Chance of Clouds challenging the light-handed knife skills of an installer, and Wrap the Dots taxing wrappers on their tape abilities. This hands-on feature demonstrates the skill and ability needed to produce high-quality car installations both for seasoned professionals and novices alike with the chance of walk away with their honour in-tact and win a cool gift.

Watch and learn from the World Wrap Masters
Visitors to the event will also have the chance to watch up to 24 expert wrappers learn new skills and meet fellow vinyl installers in the UK & Ireland regional leg of the World Wrap Masters competition. The competition will see professional entrants battle it out during a series of technical challenges to gain a place in the World Wrap Masters Final, which will take place in Munich (May 2023) for the title of Global World Wrap Master Champion. The highly regarded event – partnered with Hexis and HP – will be professionally judged by industry experts Ole Solskin, Justin Pate, Kiss Lajos, Ivan Tenchev, alongside guest judge and wrapping business owner, Corey England (owner of Wrap Capital).
