Press release from the issuing company
• The technology company supplies system solutions for the label and packaging printing process
• Axcyl and Laserline brands take center stage
• Customers benefit from a broad product range, global presence and collective knowhow
Hanover/Brussels. After expanding its printing technology business in May this year, Continental is now unveiling the extra breadth of its printing blanket technology portfolio for the first time. The ContiTech group sector will be presenting system solutions for the label and packaging printing process at the LabelExpo Europe 2023 show, which is taking place in Brussels on September 11 – 14. The Axcyl and Laserline brands will take center stage at booth A61 in Hall 4.
“The flexo industry has changed enormously in recent years,” points out Jens Löschner, head of the flexographic printing business area at Continental Printing Solutions. Developments in prepress, anilox rollers, digital plate technology and sleeve-dedicated presses have led to the process being used in areas of print that would have once been unthinkable. These include folding cartons, labels, and flexible packaging.
Solutions for high productivity and print quality
Continental develops and produces wide-web-plate and narrow-web-plate Axcyl flexo plate mounting sleeves for all kinds of flexographic printing machines. Thanks to their composite honeycomb structure, they stand out with their low weight, high stiffness and stability. The product design has been optimized to filter vibrations coming from the printing plate. For example, Axcyl reduces press bounce and therefore enables high productivity and print quality – even at very high speeds. Conti Laserline is expanding its product range for flexographic printing with the addition of extremely versatile printing plates and sleeve technology for water- or solvent-based and UV curing ink systems.
All from a single source
“Our customers will be able to enjoy the benefits of our expanded product range,” promises Löschner. “They will now be getting everything from a single source and will benefit from our global presence and collective expertise.”
