Bridging Ideas and Innovation: Photopolymer Week Unites Top Minds in Boulder

Press release from the issuing company

Attendees from major research labs, universities and industry, gathered in Boulder, Colorado in September for the first ever Photopolymer Week, to share research and ideas on the advancement of key technologies. Photopolymers are widely developed as foundational materials for breakthrough medical, industrial, packaging and electronics technologies.

The event started with a Workshop presented by the Photopolymer Additive Manufacturing Alliance (PAMA), a collaboration between the National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST), a part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, that promotes U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness by advancing measurement science, standards, and technology. The PAMA Workshop focused on amplifying, expanding and developing activities around a Photopolymer Additive Manufacturing Roadmap developed by NIST--with sessions including AI and machine learning-driven materials, biomedical, sustainability, new applications, and public-private partnerships.

The PAMA Workshop was immediately followed by Photopolymerization Fundamentals, a highly respected biennial Conference focused on the latest research and critical questions on the photopolymerization process. The event had record attendance and included short courses, a poster session, exhibit and presentations on topics including next generation materials, 3D printing, and medical applications--providing an important forum for scientific discussion and collaboration.

The next industry gathering is set for May 2024 in Orlando, FL. For more information, visit http://radtech.org
